Uttar Pradesh
The history of Uttar Pradesh is very ancient and interesting. In the later Vedic period it was known as BrahmarshiDesh or Madhya Desh. It was the penance of many great sages of the Vedic period, such as Bharadwaja, Gautama, Yajnavalkya, Vasistha, Vishwamitra and Valmiki etc. Many sacred books of Aryans were also written here. The story of two great epics of India - Ramayana and Mahabharata also seems to be based on this region.
Uttar Pradesh maintained its intellectual excellence even during the British rule. The British merged the two provinces called Agra and Awadh into one which came to be called the United Provinces of Agra and Awadh. Later in 1935 it was abbreviated to the United Provinces only. After independence, in January 1950, the United Province was renamed as Uttar Pradesh.

Ayodhya:Ayodhya is a city and the district headquarters of Ayodhya district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Ayodhya is an ancient religious city situated on the banks of river Saryu. It is believed that this city was settled by Manu and gave it the name of 'Ayodhya' which means 'ayudhya' which cannot be achieved by war. It was also called 'KosalJanpad'. According to mythological beliefs, there used to be the rule of Suryavanshi / Raghuvanshi kings in Ayodhya, in which Lord Shri Rama incarnated.
Mathura:Mathura is known as the birthplace of Lord Krishna. It is situated on the banks of Yamuna River in Uttar Pradesh. It is 145 km southeast of Delhi. is far. 58 km northwest of Agra.is far. How to reach Uttar Pradesh:
By Air: Uttar Pradesh has four domestic airports namely Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow and Varanasi. That is, all four major tourist destinations have airport facilities. From here, flights of government and private companies to major cities like Delhi and Mumbai fly at frequent intervals.

It receives rainfall from 1000 mm to 2000 mm from east and 610 mm to 1000 mm from west. About 90% of the rainfall in the state is during the southwest monsoon which lasts from June to September.
